Work Performed

After acquiring a standard auto parts e-commerce store, the client set ambitious goals for developing both its retail and wholesale channels.
Over two and a half years, we completed extensive development work: integrating OEM and aftermarket parts catalogs, building local catalogs with vehicle-based selection, integrating a large number of databases, implementing a complex pricing system, deploying various marketing tools, and more. OEM Catalog Integration

Any serious auto parts platform requires a range of part selection tools. One of the most important is OEM catalog search. We integrated the Laximo OEM catalog — the most reliable provider available. Parts specialists and experienced vehicle owners alike will appreciate having access to this functional catalog.

TecDoc Catalog Integration

For broader parts search coverage, the TecDoc universal aftermarket parts lookup system was also integrated. TecDoc catalogs currently contain product data from nearly 2,500 independent manufacturers of cross-reference (aftermarket) equivalents. This gives any user the ability to quickly find the right parts by vehicle make and model, direct part number (SKU), or product line.

Local Catalogs

Local catalogs with vehicle-based and parameter-based selection were built by integrating multiple databases. The catalogs include: maintenance items, bulbs, wiper blades, accessories, batteries, tires, and wheels.

Pricing System

A complex pricing system was implemented and search results were refined to reflect pricing logic.

Discount system:
Automatic customer group assignment when specific agreement conditions are met — volume per period, number of sales per period, etc.

The search bar is one of the primary tools for finding parts and products. It is accessible on every page, making it critical that the tool is capable and meets user expectations. We implemented an advanced full-text search engine with morphological word form support and automatic transliteration.

Marketing Tools

A range of marketing tools were implemented: SEO automation; an internal loyalty program; automatic related product recommendations. For example, relevant suggestions are automatically displayed at the bottom of each product card, encouraging users to browse between models and explore the range. This approach significantly increases customer engagement on the site.

Technical Support

A dedicated interface for wholesale clients was also built — providing real-time access to warehouse stock levels. Technical support was organized for the project:
